This two bedroom apartment is ideal whether you stay is for business or leisure. Ideally located in Parkgate 8 miles from Southampton and 10 miles from Portsmouth and is close to all major transport routes. There is a convenience store within a five minute walk for all your local amenities and we do offer a food welcome pack which can be ordered from our reservations team up to 48 hours before your arrival date. There are is a traditional local pub called the Talisman and the infamous Chinese Kam's Palace plus TGI’s is only a stone throw away. Two miles away is the outlet shopping centre called Whitley village home to many retail and boutique shops, Tesco's and the restaurant franchise Frankie and Benny's.
The apartment building has a secure entry system and the apartment can be accessed by the lift or stairs. There are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobes, bed side tables with nightlights and an alarms clock. There is an en-suite with a shower, wash basin and free complimentary toiletries and towels are supplied upon arrival. The second bedroom has a double bed, wardrobes and bed side tables. Bed linen is supplied for both bedrooms.
Next to the bedrooms is the bathroom which has a bath with a shower overhead, a wash basin and socket points for shavers and electric toothbrushes.
Unlike hotel rooms you will find a fully equipped kitchen in this apartment where you can cook at your leisure and not be governed by hotel timetables. All laundry facilities are catered for with a washing machine and clothes horse plus there is an iron and ironing board. We do provide you with details of a good laundry company if you prefer to outsource your laundry needs.
The next room on from the kitchen is the lounge which has two settee's, lcd tv with Freeview and a DVD player. A table and four chairs are to the right of the sofa's where up to four people can wine and dine in a comfortable relaxed environment.
There is one allocated parking space which we will provide you details off before your arrival date.
If your stay is longer then 6 days the apartment will be cleaned and new towels and linen will be provided. Broadband is inclusive in the nightly rate and you can use it anytime of day or night unlike hotels where you have to buy set internet packages.
Area
Located on England's south coast, Southampton has been a major port since the 13th Century and was home to the RMS Titanic. The Maritime Museum in the Wool House features an exhibition on the ill-fated liner.
The main station in the city is Southampton Central with excellent links to London and other south coast towns and cities. Southampton Airport is located in the town of Eastleigh, just north of Southampton. It is connected to the city by a frequent rail service, and hosts flights to UK and some European destinations.
Southampton harbour is no longer used for car ferries to Europe, but remains the embarkation point for many cruise liners. Sailing is very popular, and Southampton Water has been the start and finish of the Round the World Yacht Race for 30 years.
The main retail facility is the West Quay Shopping Centre, which was the biggest city-centre shopping mall in Europe when it was opened.
The largest green space is Southampton Common which covers a larger area than Hyde Park in London and includes a Wildlife Centre, a swimming pool and several lakes and ponds.
