Description
Fully serviced one bedroom studio apartment situated in the city centre of Southampton. The location is ideal whether your stay is for business or leisure and is close to all major transport routes, local businesses and tourist attractions. There is a convenience store within a five minute walk for all your local amenities and we do offer a food welcome pack which can be ordered from our reservations team up to 48 hours before your arrival date. We have two studio apartments and one two bedroom apartment in this building if you require to accommodate multiple guests.
The studio apartment can be accessed via the lift or stairs and has a secure entrance which you will be given a security code to gain entry. As you enter the open plan studio apartment you will find the bedroom to your left which has a double bed, wardrobe space, two bed side tables with night lights and an alarm clock. To the right is the main bathroom which has a shower over the bath, a wash basin with mirror above and complimentary toiletries and towels are supplied on arrival. If your stay is longer than 7 days our housekeeping team will be in weekly to clean the studio apartment and provide new bed linen and towels.
From the bedroom is the kitchen and lounge area where you can cook at your leisure and therefore you are not governed by hotel timetables. The fully equipped kitchen has all the mod cons you would expect to find it in your home such as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle etc. A washer/dryer is fitted in to the kitchen to cater for all your laundry needs throughout your stay and details are provided for a dry cleaning company should you wish for it to be outsourced.
The lounge area has a tv, freeview, dvd player and a two seater settee with a coffee table to place your business documents or magazines. Behind the settee there is a small table with two chairs so you can eat or work off your laptop. Free broadband is supplied with this studio apartment unlike hotels where you have to buy internet packages.
Area
Located on England's south coast, Southampton has been a major port since the 13th Century and was home to the RMS Titanic. The Maritime Museum in the Wool House features an exhibition on the ill-fated liner.
The main station in the city is Southampton Central with excellent links to London and other south coast towns and cities. Southampton Airport is located in the town of Eastleigh, just north of Southampton. It is connected to the city by a frequent rail service, and hosts flights to UK and some European destinations.
Southampton harbour is no longer used for car ferries to Europe, but remains the embarkation point for many cruise liners. Sailing is very popular, and Southampton Water has been the start and finish of the Round the World Yacht Race for 30 years.
The main retail facility is the West Quay Shopping Centre, which was the biggest city-centre shopping mall in Europe when it was opened.
The largest green space is Southampton Common which covers a larger area than Hyde Park in London and includes a Wildlife Centre, a swimming pool and several lakes and ponds.
